It’s now widely recognized that an individual’s societal, economic, and environmental conditions—known as social determinants of health (SDOH)—are the greatest influence on health outcomes. Long overdue, health systems and insurers are investing in interventions that help tackle consumers’ social needs. Now they must figure out how to measure the impact of these programs and which technology platforms will maximize their investments.
